Main Library

Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N.,

The St. Petersburg Library and Florida CraftArt present a series of three workshops at the Main Library, 3745 9th Avenue North, to create gorgegous paper flowers to be used in the Florida CraftArt exhibition “Dia de los Muertos: A Celebration of Life.” The workshops will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesdays, February 6, February 27 and March 6, 2018. The workshops are free and open to the public! The paper flowers that are created at the library workshops will be used to create a floral archway entrance to the Dia de los Muertos exhibition from April 6 – May 26. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and all flowers created during the program will be used for the floral archway. All materials will be supplied.

The St. Petersburg Library System is pleased to offer this program as a part of its Community Development Initiative, a method to enhance the provision of resources, services, and programs focused on the Education, Economy, Ecology, Equity, Efficiency and Engagement of our community.

Here are few reasons why you should give it a try:

1. Give Your Heart A Break.

2. Increase Your Energy!

Cardio workouts are also essential to fat burning and can also lead to a faster metabolism. With a faster metabolism comes more energy, and with more energy comes more productivity.

3. Look Better AND Feel Better.

Another benefit to cardio is an improved hormonal profile. High intensity workouts release serotonin, aka our feel good hormone. What better combo is there than looking AND feeling good?

4. It’s The Best Way to Multitask!

Mobile devices

With high definition screens and cable television channels on every cardio machine, it’s the perfect way to catch up on the latest episode of “The Bachelorette” or the evening news. Watching a show or listening to music during cardio is an awesome way to keep your energy on full blast.
