Score a Home Run with the “Reading with the Rays” Summer Reading Program at Your Local Library

Go celebrate the “Reading with the Rays” summer reading program at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, at the St. Petersburg Main Library, 3745 9thAve. N. Children, teens and their caregivers are invited to hear a story read by a Tampa Bay Rays player, while interacting with the Rays Street Team and DJ Kitty.

The “Reading with the Rays” summer reading program allows children and teens to “read your way to the ball park” by logging hours spent reading on a game card. For every hour read, children and teens advance around bases on the game card.  When they arrive at a base, they can pick up a reward at their local library.  When they reach home plate, they will receive a voucher for tickets to see the Tampa Bay Rays in action!

For more information, call 727-892-5296 or visitwww.splibraries.org.
The St. Petersburg Library System is pleased to offer this program as a part of its Community Development Initiative, a method to enhance the provision of resources, services, and programs focused on the Education, Economy, Ecology, Equity, Efficiency and Engagement of our community.

After the event, Swing by The Courtney at Bay Pines for a tour of our luxury community!
